Here at Dr. Lee and Associates Optometry, we are dedicated to finding the right type of contacts, even hard-to-fit ones, for our patients.

There are many different eye conditions that require specific kinds of contact lenses, so finding the right kind isn’t always easy. There are lenses designed for certain eye conditions, such as an astigmatism, dry eyes, keratoconus, and more. However, we believe that comfort is also very important when it comes to giving you good vision.

Soft contact lenses are typically the best option for most people. They allow the eye to breath and receive moisture, so they are very helpful for people suffering from dry eye. Soft contact lenses are disposable, so you can change them when needed to keep your eyes healthy.

Rigid gas-permeable lenses are hard contact lenses that provide correction for very poor vision and conditions that cause blurry vision such as an astigmatism. The lenses provide very clear vision and can improve vision to almost 20/20. They do not slide on the eye as much as a soft lenses. However, they are not as comfortable, so adjusting to them can take a bit of time. They are durable and very good for people who struggle with bad vision.

Toric lenses are designed specifically for people with astigmatism. They come in both hard and soft contact lenses, which has been helpful for many people who have an astigmatism but have difficulty wearing hard lenses. They are the preferred contact lenses of people with astigmatism.
